Breastfeeding Consultation

The Breastfeeding Consultation is specialized support for mothers and babies who need practical support in breastfeeding. At our breastfeeding consultation, an Internationally Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) focuses on resolving difficulties, reducing pain and increasing mom's confidence.

Who is it recommended for?

• Difficulty in latching or positioning the baby
• Pain when breastfeeding, cracked or fissured nipples
• Baby not gaining weight as expected
• Engorgement, blocked ducts, or suspected mastitis
• Excess or lack of milk production
• Preparing to returning to work while maintaining breastfeeding
• Gradual and respected weaning

What happens in the consultation?

• Assessment of mother, baby and breastfeeding history.
• Observation and evaluation of breastfeeding with real-time corrections.
• Clear guidance on breastfeeding position and breastfeeding routines.
• Action plan adapted to the family context.

Some situations require tranquility and comfort in your own home. During the home consultation, the IBCLC lactation consultant comes to you to observe the real context of breastfeeding — usual position, place where the mother sits, high chair, pillows — and help with small adaptations that can make all the difference. It is an especially useful option in the first few days after birth, when leaving home is especially challenging, allowing support in a familiar environment.
